چکیده

Coronary artery disease (CAD) still remains one of the leading causes mortality in many countries with more than 17 million deaths worldwide. This study aimed to assess predictors myocardial viability patient coronary chronic total occlusion (CTO) by Myocardial Perfusion Imaging. Methods: included 100 patients previous angiography (CA) which they detected that have or vessel CTO. And were divided two groups: Group 1: Viable Myocardium, and 2:  Non-Viable Myocardium. Patients subjected complete history taking, general local physical Examination, 12 Lead ECG, Laboratory investigation serum troponin, conventional Echocardiography, Diagnostic angiography, Single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT). male no females included. Their mean age was 56±8 years. 66% showed viability, while 34% not viable. There statistical difference between viable groups regarding MPI; all non-viable group shows scar reversable ischemia, 68.2% show reversible 31.8%had mixed p < 0.001. EF could predict AUC= 0.992, at cut off value above 46%, sensitivity 0.949 specificity 0.934. IVSD 0.950, 6.1 mm, 0.974 0.967.

Nicorandil effect on myocardial perfusion in patients with slow coronary flow phenomenon assessment by gated myocardial perfusion SPECT

Introduction:Patients with the coronary slow flow phenomenon (SCF) frequently experience angina episodes. The purpose of this study was to determine efficacy of nicorandil in myocardial perfusion in patients with SCF. Methods: Twenty patients (50.85 ± 12.96 y) with SCF were studied.  We evaluate coronary slow flow according to protracted thrombolysis in m...

Coronary collateral circulation behaviour and myocardial viability in chronic total occlusion treated with coronary angioplasty.

AIMS We explored the role of microcirculation integrity following the chronic occlusion of an infarct-related artery to assess the behaviour of collateral circulation during and after reperfusion by coronary angioplasty METHODS AND RESULTS Eighteen patients with a proximally occluded left anterior descending artery and firm evidence of intercoronary collateral circulation were studied with se...

Myocardial perfusion scan accuracy in detection of coronary artery disease - Comparison with exercise stress test [Persian]

Introduction: In patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) noninvasive evaluation for detection of ischemia is important to avoid invasive interventions like angiography. Exercise stress test is conventionally the first study used in evaluation of CAD. Considering the noninvasive nature of the myocardial perfusion scan, we decided to compare its accuracy with stress test. Methods: Patie...

Comparison of dipyridamole – induced electrocardiographic changes and myocardial perfusion imaging in diagnosis of coronary artery disease [Persian]

Introduction: This study evaluated the diagnostic value of the dipyridamole induced electrocardiuogram (ECG) cahnges, comparing with myocardial perfusion imaging. Materials and Methods: 222 patinets were studied with dipyridamole infusion (based on ECG criteria) as well as Dipyridamole-myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI). Results: Abnormal dipyridamole test and abnormal MPI were noted in 1...

Diagnostic Value of Ankle Brachial Index for Myocardial Ischemia in Asymptomatic Diabetic Patients and Comparison with Myocardial Perfusion Imaging

Objective: The ankle-brachial index (ABI) as a simple test which can detect peripheral arterial disease (PAD). Therefore in this study we try to evaluate the diagnostic value of ABI for silent myocardial ischemia in diabetic patients and compare the results with myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) results. Materials and Methods: All 149 diabetic patients in this study were categorized according...
